Psychotherapy / Counselling Overview
Psychotherapy offers a space to look more closely at the patterns that shape your life and relationships. This may include ways of relating to others, managing emotion, or responding to difficulty that have developed over time and no longer feel sustainable.
People often come to therapy at a point where something has shifted—sometimes following a specific event, and sometimes through a more gradual sense of dissatisfaction, disconnection or loss of direction. You may feel caught in patterns that are hard to change, or aware that something in your life is no longer working in the way it once did.
My way of working is relational and depth-oriented. We pay attention not only to what you bring, but also to what emerges between us in the therapeutic relationship, as this often provides a direct and meaningful way of understanding longstanding patterns.
While much of my work is longer-term and exploratory, I also offer more focused, shorter-term therapy where appropriate, working actively with emotional patterns as they arise in the moment.
I have worked extensively with a wide range of difficulties, including anxiety, relationship challenges, loss, addiction, and the impact of earlier life experiences. My focus, however, is less on diagnosis and more on understanding the underlying patterns that shape a person’s life, and supporting the possibility of meaningful and lasting change.
